Methodology

Rules we follow

Only official sources are used for published figures: the federal tax administration, the Federal Office of Public Health, the Federal Statistical Office and cantonal law and offices. Each figure carries its source and year.

Differences between communes are computed from the published values, never typed by hand. We describe which commune leads on a metric; we do not rank cantons overall, because the right choice depends on the household.

Where a rule could not be confirmed in an official source, it is withheld rather than guessed. 49 items are currently withheld pending verification.

The data is refreshed weekly from the same sources and is also available to AI agents through the Mirabello Immigration Intelligence MCP server. It is information, not tax or legal advice.

Information, not tax or legal advice. Figures are published standard profiles for the stated year from official sources; a personal calculation needs the official ESTV calculator or a tax adviser.
